MPW | LATEST

MPW is currently producing and engineering Jason Plumb and the Willing’s new album. The project is being recorded at the brand new Revolution Recordings. So new in fact they are the first client. Check out the blog about the experience.

MPW has directed, shot and edited a new video for the  Paisley Jura song, “Dans le Jardin” from the album, “Time is How You Spend Your Love”. It was a fun diversion for me.  View it here.

MPW has new management.  Alissa Razansky of the Los Angeles based BonVivant Entertainment will represent Wojewoda for all future production, engineering and mixing work. Huzzah!

A cursory listen to any of Michael Phillip Wojewoda’s eclectic body of work from the last 25 years betrays a distinct aural vision and a firm commitment to sonic excellence. Wojewoda has played an ongoing and crucial role in the canon of Canadian music, from Toronto’s Queen St. punk scene of the mid-’80s, to groundbreaking art rock of the early ’90s, to some of that decade’s most commercially successful albums.

An accomplished drummer and vocal arranger, the artistically ambitious and Juno Award-winning Wojewoda is also an analog synth enthusiast, equally at home with down-home acoustics and envelope-pushing electronics. Having worked with some of the feistiest characters in the country, his persuasive personality brings strong egos together to produce their finest performances. Having crafted several acclaimed album-length narratives (aka concept albums), he makes the seemingly impossible a sonic reality, focusing large ideas into digestible recordings.
